Changing Tides
I see you there
on the horizon of my sunrise
Your brown eyes
take my mind from everything
From the thought
that I haven't seen you in days
But everything
feels like yesterday
I lift my gaze
to the grey clouds before me
Disbeleif as to
were this life leads me
My failure
to see what it is this experience leaves me
And all I feel
the shadows of your memories
cast them into the seas of my mind
All those feelings
of something new
Now returning
my saddened view of this life
Can you
part my seas of doubt
Make me
beleive in life again
I don't see
the future getting any brighter
A marvel
to behold in what lies inside
And I have fallen
to bloody knees
